Welcome and latest NEws
Where have the Men's Triathlon's and Duathlons been?
For the past 18 years women in Christchurch have had the PhysioMed Women's Triathlon and Duathlon Series which has enabled thousands of women to take on a challenge of triathlon or duathlon. Many males have commented that there is "nothing for them". We listened and in 2006 the Shoe Clinic Blokes Series began.
The Shoe Clinic Series for men is a great way for you to experience triathlon or duathlon for the first time or if it has been awhile since you have been active to get going again. Click here for event distances and categories.
Enter the series and take part in the series placings - points are allocated to you based on your finishing place with in your category and overall placing at each of the three events, these are collated at the end of the series and 1st to 3rd category/age group medals are awarded and overall triathlon and duathlon 1st - 3rd trophies.
Being a series entrant you also receive a certificate with all three event results on it and you go in the draw for the major spot prizes.
My challenge......
"what are you waiting for?"....do
it!
September News and info
1) Rapaki Pick Up - 12th September: We have teamed up with Somebody.co.nz for the 4th Rapaki Pick Up on Sunday 12th. What is it? It is a fun run/walk from the gates of Rapaki to the Summit Road, pick up an item (it is small and light!) and then enjoy the down hill and the view back to the gate.
The twist is you estimate the time it will take you and leave all timing devices in your bag and the winner is not the fastest but the closest to their estimated time.
Bring the family, everyone can do this as you go at your own pace - run, walk, jog, any combination of. Enjoy the exercise, the company and the view, then join us at the Port Hills Athletic Club in Hansen Park for refreshments and Cher's famous "Rapaki Biscuit" and prize giving. Kevin Hunt was the winner last time by 1 second!! Further details and to enter the Rapaki Pick up here
